We decided to present our dog's characters as we know them from our every day experience...
... no strict assessments to be expected. There are character tests and exams for such as those :o)

Hupina could be characterized by one word only - kind.
She would be very good family dog, she loves people, children, she is friendly to other dogs
and all animals. She is a calm companion and big darling. She is ideal show dog and she loves all balls and dog disc. She is good tracker and sport defender. She started with agility and dog frisbee after her first puppies and she likes both sports very much.
Hupy is neither dominant nor supple dog in dog pack - she doesn't care about... that is not her life philosophy. Her life opinion is only in - being pet from people, get plenty of foods and have jumping ball...:o)
She is fantastic no problem mother.
And she chomps very noisy :o)

Jonas is very balanced, friendly and temperament boy.
He is perfect show dog, he could be alone in show ring without owner...and he likes all dog sports and training.
His owner Iva has not good possibility to train with him, so we decided to give him to my good friend, good trainer of dogs, Ludka Klimplova. He was 14months old and Ludka executed the exam ZM (track/obedience/defence) in his 16months...it was great, but Ludka had not more time for him for next exams unfortunately...
I see ideal character of tervueren in Jonas. He is not just a good companion and family dog, but could be excellent in working, agility or frisbee dog too. He is very contact to the people but can defence his owner very powerfully. Apart from it he has herding abilities, loves playing, retrieval and water.

We have Cabor from his 3 years, when we got him from Dutch breeder Bernadien Steltenpool. Previous owners of Cabor - André and Ingrid wanted a family dog. In spite of Cabor loved all their family, he is not a calm family dog...
Presently he stays by our friend Radim Kuriljak in Litvinov who trains Borro in police defence drill.
Cabor is rough dog, dominant and absolutely balanced character - close to working malinois. Nevertheless it is a show line tervueren.
Borro is very friendly to all people, but those who wants to attack his owner Radim should be aware! He is retrieval freak, loves water and swimming and of course all bitches. But the same way he hates all males...

Borro is a dog with a lot of energie, and a very strong personality (real male). He's nice towards people, needs consequent leadership, perfect working dog, needs room for expansion, always ready for action. Does not avoid conflicts, excellent defender. Loves to be cuddled and having attention.

Moly is lovely, supple but very temperament female, who is absolutely devoted to me... other dogs from our pack would easily exchange me for retrieval or hunting for rabbits... Moly would never. She always waits what I say.
She is real trouble-free dog, the dog who you do not have to look after because her only goal is to look after you. She loves retrieval, training and all plays. Moly loves people, is very well socialized with other dogs and stands (or better disdain :o)...) cats. She would love to hunt rabbits as well but when I do not want, she does not....
She can swim but again for me only. Water is not something to be sought after...

Delphine came to me in her 3 months and she arrived all the way from Australia. There was "wild and frighten beast" in the kennel waiting for me on the airport who was ready to fight for her life. No wonder, her journey took 48 hours... I better took all kennel into the car and open it not sooner then at my home.
Our two cats and Neck sit beside and wait while Delphine was getting slowly out. She immediately bite Neck when she saw him and started to bustle about. She liked cats but not me. So I let her bustle...
After while she tinkled on the floor so I took mop and started to clean it up. In the same moment the small red rocket bite into the mop very tough... And I could easily touched her or even pick her up on the mop. She was really mine from this moment...
Delphine is incredibly temperament creature full of energy and always ready to play. She is real retrieval freak of all shapes and sizes things. She is great defender with perfect and full bites and strong go-ahead manner. She would be great agility or frisbee dog too if we had more time to train. Her obedience and tracking is excellent. Delphine is real working dog, the one who is always asking you what are we going to play next while walking from the training place...
She is reliable guard dog but also a pet companion. She does not pay attention to people she does not know. Delphine is very intelligent and sensitive and grew up into the dog personality.
She loves water and would swim or just stay in the water and wait for any retrieval all day long.

Doty would be called "kangaroo" as would confirm her owner Iva Felgrova. She can welcome for minutes on her back legs :o)
Doty is very temperament, friendly and supple female. She would be perfect for agility or dog dance but her owner has no opportunities to train in her region.
She is very easy and natural presentable on shows.

Chaka is very nice sport dog with a huge temperament. He is rather supple male, loves retrieval and water. Is very contact to people, especially to children. And he used to smile when you talk to him :o)
He would be great agility dog but Zdenka ha no agility club close to her so she trains defence irregularly.
Chaka is a great show dog.

Oskar is very special dog, dominant one, full of energy and huge temperament. He is always very happy, playful and hectic but very sensitive too. I can really enjoy to train with him - he loves tracks, obedience as well as defence. We also tried rescue training but Oskar was too rash and barked too much too...
He was distrustful to people and environment when he was young but he get over it as years passed and he invites all friendly people now. He would love to sit on head to all of our visitors and force them to pet him. On the other hand he is reliable guard dog.
Oskar is the right partner for "bad-being"... He never let you being sad and knows to cheer you up in any situation.
If ever he was a man, he would be the type so-called "women, wine and singing". Oskar likes to eat a lot (anything) and belch in very specific and loud way after that (and most of his offspring). He loves all females and hates all males. Is also very noisy, grizzly and communicative. When he could not get over something in training he always starts to bark on me with reproach.. And smile at me in the same time...
Oskar loves water and swimming. He is very gentle to cats and other pets, he has herding abilities and he likes to hunt rabbits - but he would never hurt one anyway...
Oskar is deep in my heart. He is huge dog personality and those who know him personally just must love him.
And if ever not he would grizzle it anyway :o)

Eny is just "darling". She inherited absolute loyalty from her mother and a bit of roughness and dominance from her father... She would do anything for her owner Monika and when she make a mistake, she can easily correct it with her gaze...
Eny loves retrieval, makes very precise and lively obedience.
Otherwise Eny is the same as her mother Moly, calm, trouble-free and very friendly dog... and she does not like water too... In spite of it she did one week river-Vltava-trip on canoe with us :o)

Amma is very dominant and temperament female. She got to when she was 2 years old as conflict and uncontrollable "monster". She attacked people a does not like children especially. She was nervous in the town traffic and she hunt in the forest... That all came from her 2-year-stay by the people who loved her but did not understand her character at all. She spend all her time guarding the garden provoked by local children... After the family sold their garden and took Amma to the flat in the town, they realized what dog they have - conflict and uncontrollable one.... That time I found an ad and brought a bride to my Neck.
Amma got used to live with us very fast and because I took her to different places and got her into various situations, she got much better and became normal dog. I only kept her out of children anytime.
She became a great retrieval and she worked very well. Generally she is a little nervous and choleric character. She invites thunderously, was good in defence of course and her obedience was nice. But tracks she liked only because there was always some rabbit or mouse on he field...
When somebody ask me about Amma, I give two stories... She was never afraid of shooting or storms but she had positive reaction anyway. When there was a fireworks she starts to bark very furiously, jump into the sky and fall down on her back... and again and again...
Amma became very social but in contact with other dogs she always try to subordinate them. I cannot forget when she saw Oskar after 6 years... She was 13 years old and tried to get him on back. It was not difficult for Oskar to get her on back in a second. She got up start to smile start to try to subordinate him again...
She was good mother but she liked to guard puppies most. From the 1st week she spend most of the time barking outdoor...
Since she was 6 years she lives by our family friends where is in the centre of attention and beloved. Her strong dominance was the reason to put Amma out of my pack - she had stronger influence then I could have... She learned dominant dogs to be the same and she trampled supple dogs. In her fights she has never bite seriously - she only wanted to show who is the leader...
In spite of it all is Amma very pleasant, gentle and pet animal... She has huge heart... It is just her story so "hard". Not many people did really understand her :o)
Amina was 14-year-old on 15.2.2006... And she still guards...
